Tornado Almost Forming

Aidan is way ahead of me. We were each supposed to post two images of something in our backyard. Aidan posted 4 pictures, as I am only now posting my 2nd. That just goes to show you how much better photographer he is than I.

We’ve had a bit of severe weather in the last week. Some storm clouds came through this afternoon which had the rotational components of an imminent tornado. Fortunately, it never fully developed, but it did dump 3 inches of hail in a northern suburb - that after dumping 16″ of hail in another suburb last weekend. Now that would have been a sight to see. Anyway, the picture here shows a classic wall cloud moving from right to left (north to south) with the thunderstorm clearly visible in the center of the frame. The dropping and rotating elements are to the left of the rain. From this distance, the weather is beautiful, but it wouldn’t seem so pretty were I in all of that weather.

So, Aidan, I finally completed my assignment. Congratulations on doing such a good job. Have a good vacation and I hope you and your brother take lots of really good photographs. I hope to see a whole bunch of them.
